Home Makeover – Home Remodeling Ideas

What is a complete home makeover? Also known as “Complete Home Makeovers,” it is the phrase used to describe any remodeling project where you change, add, or replace at least 50% of the living area in a home under the same contract-as opposed to a number of different projects over a much longer period of time.

A total home remodel may involve some major changes that involve tearing out walls and ceilings, changing flooring and ceilings, replacing doors and windows, and redoing appliances. But a makeover can also involve a complete redesign of a room or the entire house. Some major changes in a home makeover may include completely re-building the kitchen and bathroom, adding an entirely new floor covering, replacing the entire plumbing system, or installing completely new plumbing. Home remodeling projects that add new floors are often referred to as “deep remodels.”

The benefits of a total home makeover include the obvious addition of more living space for all family members. But these major changes can also mean increased value for your home. In fact, a major makeover can actually increase the value of a house by up to 50%. A total home makeover can also mean less money out of your pocket, since you will be paying a lower mortgage payment for the duration of the project.

However, while a makeover can help to improve your house’s overall value, this is not a “get rich quick” scheme. A remodeled home will cost more than a home that has simply been remodeled-and it will take some time to make the whole process worthwhile. A makeover should always be part of a remodeling program, and not an added expense.

There are many ways to go about a total home makeover, but the most common methods are: replacing the windows and/or doors in the home, adding new doors and windows, and completely re-carpeting the house or room in which you wish to install your makeover. These three options are the least expensive ways to go and are also, in many cases, the quickest.

You may also decide to hire an experienced home remodel contractor to do the makeover, but there is no better way to spend your money than by taking on the total home makeover yourself. A good contractor will have the necessary tools and know-how to complete the task in the least amount of time and with the least amount of hassle and will not charge you any fees until you are happy with the final results. If you’re feeling particularly adventurous, you could even try making some of the work yourself.
